Chest Freezer
The most common placement is inside the freezer on the side or front wall. On older models, the model plate may be found on the left or right hand side of the cabinet by the compressor compartment. Another location on older units may be on the back of the cabinet.
Dehumidifier
The most common location for the model number plate is in the back of unit by the water bucket.
Cooktop
The model and serial number tag may be found in numerous locations on this appliance. Common areas include inside the burner box, possibly beneath one of the elements (if removable) or on 'lift up top' and cartridge models.
Other locations include on the outside of the appliance base, possibly on the edge or bottom under the unit. You can also check under the burner control dials or any removable dial plate that may be present.
On down-draft models, the model number identification tag may be on the front or side of the blower plenum, beneath the cooktop.
Dishwasher
The most popular location for the model number tag is inside the dishwasher on the cabinet, within 2 inches of the door opening. Another area may be on the top or side edge of the door itself.
Dryer
The most common location for the model plate is on the front of the cabinet behind the door or on the interior door panel. On occasion, the model tag will be on the right hand side of the cabinet, towards the bottom, or on the back of the dryer cabinet itself.
Freezer Upright
The model number plate is often on the front of the cabinet possibly behind the kickplate or inside the freezer on the side wall or ceiling.
On older or small units, the model number plate may be on the rear of the cabinet.
Gas Range
The model number tag can usually be found beneath the range top, if it is removable. On models with sealed top burners, the model number plate can usually be found on the front frame of the stove behind the oven door, broiler drawer or on the side of the boiler/warmer drawer body.
Microwave
A common location for the model number is on the front edge of the cabinet behind the door. On older models, the model number plate is likely to be on the back of the cabinet.
Mod Dish
A common location for the model number plate is on the bottom front edge of the cabinet, possibly behind the kickplate. Another possible area is inside the fridge on the side or back wall or front edge of the refrigerator ceiling panel. It may be necessary to remove the crisper drawers to view the tag when located on the interior cabinet side.

Refreigirators
A common location for the model number plate is on the bottom front edge of the cabinet, possibly behind the kickplate. Another possible area is inside the fridge on the side or back wall or front edge of the refrigerator ceiling panel. It may be necessary to remove the crisper drawers to view the tag when located on the interior cabinet side.
Stacked Washer Dryer
The model number plate on stacked, one piece, washer/dryers may be located behind the dryer door towards the right or left side of the cabinet opening or on the inside or edge of the door itself. Another common location is on the very top of the cabinet or on the right or left side of the washer cabinet, towards the base.

Wall Oven
The most common location the model number plate can usually be found is on the front face of the oven behind the door. On older models it may be located between the hinges also on the front face behind the door.
Washer Front Load
The most common location for the model number plate is on the cabinet behind the door or on the inside of the door itself.
Washer Top Load
The model number plate may be located on the right or left side of the cabinet towards the bottom. You can also check beneath the lid next to the opening for the clothes or on the underside of the lid itself. Another common location the tag may be found is on the back of the console panel or on older models, on the rear of the washer cabinet.
